Update your latest 3rd Party scripts to prevent hacking

Do you use scripts like WordPress, Joomla, FCKeditor, Drupal for you website? If the answer is yes, you must do two things to prevent your site getting hacked – 1) always use latest version of the script and 2) be aware of latest vulnerabilities of that scripts.

Latest version of the script: You can always download latest copy of a script from their website. Download copies only from the official website.

Know latest vulnerabilities: To know the latest security advisories visit Secunia.com. The Secunia.com often lists vulnerabilities found in plug-ins or add-ons. Check those, too. If there is a recent security advisory for a script you use that is outdated, there is a bright chance you’ve found the reason your site was hacked.
