Few days ago Gmail, Youtube dropped Internet Explorer 6 support for some core features and now Facebook also wants to ignore Internet Explorer 6. Internet Explorer 6 has no match with new web 2.0 technology as most of the advanced applications built in jquery, ajax or latest css tags only work with some advanced browsers like IE 8, Mozilla, Google Chrome.
Facebook announced yesterday, its chat feature will no longer support IE 6 in its official blog. The 9-year-old browser’s inability to support new features is the only the reason for dumping it.
This is a big announcements as it suggests, Facebook Chat will be getting a significant upgrade in the coming weeks.
So, get ready for IE 6 funeral
